DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

The Director of Finance contributes to the success of Everest of Apples by effectively managing all financial tasks. This would be well suited to a technology-savy individual with strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the finances are handled responsibly

Developing and regularly monitoring the budget for upcoming year

Managing the financial resources of Everest of Apples

Maintaining a record of income and expenses

Working with the Directors of Fundraising and Initiatives to transfer funds to projects

Working with the Director of Marketing to provide updates regarding fundraising progress

Advising on future projects to maximize income where possible and appropriate

Participating in events

Skills

Support for the mission and vision of Everest of Apples

An interest in finances

The ability to work independently

The ability to liaise with other members of the board to achieve Everest of Apples’ goals

The ability to document supporting information for all financial transactions

The ability to provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of projects

Knowledge of accounting principles

Proficient in computer programs for accounting purposes

The ability to set goals and reach them.

The ability to work collaboratively with the president and board of directors.
